1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 cup sour milk
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
2 1/2 to 3 cups fresh rhubarb, finely chopped

TOPPING:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and brown sugar, add egg. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Fold in rhubarb. Put into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Top with sugar, cinnamon and nuts.

Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
