2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup cold water
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix flour and sugar in a large bowl.
Bring a stick butter, 1 cup cold water, 4 tablespoons cocoa, and 1/2 cup oil to a boil in a saucepan. Add to flour sugar mixture. Mix well and then add the buttermilk 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon soda, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 400 degrees until done. (Can also bake in a 9x13 pan, but for a longer length of time).
Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
6-7 tablespoons milk
powdered sugar (1 pound)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Bring butter cocoa and milk to a boil, and take off from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and pour over warm cake. Top with nuts.
