Ingredients:
6-8 Granny Smith apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, slice, and core apples - whatever size you like the slices. Put sliced apples in pot of water and completely cover with water. Boil 10 minutes, then drain well. Meanwhile, in a bowl, stir all other ingredients together. Add apples to mixture and stir well to coat. Put in pie plate with crust, and add little slivers of butter over the top of the apples - about 2 tbsp or so. Add crust over the top and bake at 375 for about 45 min. -1 hr. Put foil under the pie in oven to catch any juice that may drip from the pie as it cooks. If edges get too brown, put tinfoil strips along edges of pie.
