2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pureed pumpkin (fresh)
1/2 cup chopped nuts of your choice
1/2 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together, set aside. Cream shortening and sugar then add egg and vanilla and blend well. Add dry ingredients and pumpkin to sugar mixture alternately until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a nonstick cookie sheet.

If you only have canned pumpkin, add some water as the dough may be too dry.
