4 Cups medium egg noodles
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onions
2 8oz. cans tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1 and 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
2/3 cup grated Parmesan Romano cheese (reserve 2T. for topping)

Cook noodles to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain. In medium skillet brown ground beef and onions. Drain. Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Heat oven to 350. In medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, onions, green pepper and Parmesan-Romano cheese. Mix well. (if too thick, add a little milk). In 13x9 inch baking dish layer half each noodles, meat sauce and cheese mixture. Repeat layers. Sprinkle reserved Parmesan Romano cheese over top. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until thoroughly heated.
