Ingredients:  
1 C. Butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 and 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
2 and 3/4 cup quick oats
1/2 cup nuts, raisins, dates or cranberries (can use combination to equal 1/2 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add other dry ingredients. Bake cookies at 350 for 10 minutes.
(optionally split the dough mixture and add 1/2 cups of nuts, raisins dates or cranberries)
