1 yeast cake
1 c warm milk
1/2 c water
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs + 2 yolks
1/3 c soft lard
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 c flour give or take

Directions:
Directions:
Dissove yeast in warm water and mix the milk into it. Mix sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, nutmeg and vanilla. Add yeast to mixture. Add flour, knead lightly, Let rise until double and roll 1/3 inch thick. Let rise and fry in hot fat.
Frost or dip in glaze or sugar
