1 8oz package cream cheese
1 egg
cup sugar
1 6oz package chocolate chips
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 T salt
2 tsp soda
cup cocoa
2 cups water
1 cup oil
2 T vinegar
chopped nuts (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the cream cheese, egg and sugar. Add chocolate chips. Set aside. Sift together the flour and dry ingredients. Combine with the water, oil and vinegar and beat well. Fill cupcake tins half full, put 1 tsp of cream cheese mixture in center, and sprinkle top with nuts if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 28.
