5 C. Sugar
2 C. Water
1 C. Vinegar
Cinnamon sticks 12 inches (broken)
2 tsp whole cloves
Peaches about 5 pounds

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, water, vinegar , cinnamon, and cloves. Heat to boiling.
Drop peaches 3-4 at a time into boiling water. After 1 minute, place peach into cold (icy) water. Rub off skin gently. Remove pit. Keep as halves.
Place fruit in boiling brine. Pack in hot sterilized jars; add hot syrup to 1/2 inch from top. Seal. Hot water bath for 20 minutes
