"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together then add to butter mixture and mix. Roll balls of dough the size of walnuts between the palms of your hands and place about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Using any object with a round flat bottom about the size of the cookie you want, butter its round flat side, dip into granulated sugar, and press down on cookie balls until about 1/4 thick. It is not necessary to re-butter for each cookie, but dip into sugar for each cookie. Bake 4 to 6 minutes at 400 or until lightly browned around the edges. Can be rolled and cut into shapes. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. Can freeze in rolls; then slice to bake.

Mix thoroughly and apply
