1 cup soft shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs together thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients and stir in. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 400 oven for 8 - 10 minutes.
