2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs separated
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Beat egg yolks in a medium bowl until thick and lemon colored. Add oil gradually and then the buttermilk, continuing to beat until well blended. Whip the egg whites. Add milk mixture all at one time to dry ingredients; mix only until the batter is smooth. Fold in the egg whites gently. Bake in hot, greased waffle iron.
