3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 T. baking pwd.
1/2 c, butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and bkg. pwd. together. Blend butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at-a-time, mixing well. Stir in sifted flour mixture, then flavoring and nuts. Knead dough on a floured board until smooth. Divide in half. Shape into 2 rolls about the length of a cookie sheet or about 1 1/2" diameter. Bake on cookie sheet for 30 minutes. Remove when firm. While warm, cut into 3/4" slices. Lay slices cut side down and bake 12 more minutes to dry out and toast slghtly.
