2 c lard 1 c sugar 3 eggs 1/4 tsp salt 6 c flour 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 c water, warm 4 tsp anise seed
Topping 1 c sugar 1 tsp cinnamon
Blend lard and sugar. Add eggs, salt, and warm water. Add anise seed and baking powder. Add flour 1 c at a time. Roll out and use your favorite cookie cutters. Mix sugar and cinnamon in bowl. Bake at 350º for 15 . Immediately after removing from oven, shuffle in sugar/cinnamon mix completely covering top and bottom. Shake off any excess.
