1 1/2 C MILK
2 CAKES OF COMPRESSED YEAST
3 EGGS BEATEN
3 TSP SALT
1/3 C SUGAR
1/4 C LARD (SHORTENING)

Directions:
WARM TO LUKE WARM MILK AND DISSOLVE YEAST IN IT; ADD EGGS(BEATEN) SALT AND SUGAR AND BEAT THOROUGHLY. ADD FLOUR; WHEN ABOUT 1/2 MIXED PUT IN THE MELTED SHORTENING. MIX UNTIL SMOOTH, THEN TURN OUT ON FLOURED BOARD AND KNEAD WELL. PLACE IN GREASED BOWL(GREASE TOP OF DOUGH) (SET IN WARM PLACE ABOUT 80 DEGREES FOR 2 HOURS) THEN THE DOUGH SHOULD BE DOUBLED IN SIZE. KNEAD DOWN AGAIN; AGAIN LET RAISE FOR 10 MINUTES. SHAPE IN ROLLS; LET RISE UNTIL DOUBLED. ABOUT 1 HOUR; BAKE IN HOT OVEN 425 ABOUT 15 MINUTES.
