Oatmeal Cake Recipe

1 c. quick oats
1-1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. margarine
2 eggs
1-1/3 c. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

1 c. coconut
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. oats
5 T. milk
3 T. margarine, melted

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 20 minutes. Cream together brown sugar, white sugar, margarine, and eggs. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt. Mix everything together. Pour into a greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 for 40-45 min.

Mix together topping ingredients and spread on warm cake. Broil 2-3 minutes until topping is browned. Watch closely while broiling.
