5 c sliced tart apples 3/4 c flour 1/2 c oats 1 c sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/2 c butter
Preheat oven to 375º. Arrange apple slices in 8X8 baking dish. Combine flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in bowl; mix well. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until crumbly. Sprinkle crumbs over apples. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping.
