2 c milk
2 tbsp. yeast
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
5 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
10 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Rise 2 Tbsp. yeast and 2 tsp. of sugar with 1/2 c. warm water for 10 minutes. Scald 2 c. milk. In a mixing bowl put the shortening, salt, and 1/2 c. sugar. Add scalded milk to the dry ingredients until dissolved. Then add 2 cups cold water. Add yeast to mixing bowl and mix in 10 cups flour. Rise covered for 50 minutes. Quarter and roll into 4 loaves. Rise again covered for 45 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven 400 for 23 minutes. This recipe can also be made into rolls. Bake for 12 minutes.
