6 lg. potatoes, any variety peeled & cubed
2 carrots, scrubbed & chopped
1 stalk of celery chopped
.1 med. onion, chopped fine
8 c. milk
1 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 tsp. garlic salt
4 tbsp. butter
4 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 tsp

Directions:
Directions:
cook potatoes, onion, carrots and celery together in water until tender. Drain; lightly run potato masher through; add milk a little at a time depends on how thick you want your soup and seasons (to taste is best). You may add bacon or ham or cheese for a different taste.
