2 cans whole water chestnuts 1 lb. bacon 1/3 c. ketchup 1/2 c. sugar (can use either brown or white)
Wrap half slice of bacon around each water chestnut and secure with a toothpick. Bake for 1 hour at 300º. Drain excess grease. Mix ketchup and sugar together. Pour over water chestnuts. Bake for 1 more hour at 300º. Make on cookie sheets with sides.
