1 pound lean ground beef, browned
2 large onions, sliced
2-3 cups cooked macaroni
4 medium potatoes, sliced 1/8" thick
1 large can tomatoes
1 10.75 ounce can cream of tomato soup
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large casserole or Dutch oven, layer 1/2 each of the ground beef, onions, macaroni and potatoes. Salt and pepper each layer. Repeat layers. Mix together the soup and tomatoes and pour over the top, making sure the tomato mixture gets down into the layers. Top with the cheese. Bake covered in a preheated 350 oven for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and bake an additional 20-30 minutes until cheese topping is lightly browned.
