Pastry for 2 crust 10" pie 3/4 to 1 c sugar 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon 4 to 6 large apples, cored, peeled and sliced 1 tbs oleo
slice apples in bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon, stirring to coat apples. Pour into pastry lined pie pan. Dot with oleo. Cover with top crust. Seal and flute edges. Cut slits in top of crust. Cover edges with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. Bake at 425 for 15 mins, then turn down to 350 for 35-45 min more.
Jeff's favorite dessert. From teenager to adult and still this is the dessert of choice for Jeff's birthday.
