crust:
1/2 c water
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/4 c oleo
1/2 c flour

filling:
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbs corn starch, rounded
2 c milk
1/2 pint heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
crust: In saucepan, bring water, oleo and salt to boil. Add flour all at once, stir until a smooth ball forms. Remove from heat, beat in eggs one at a time. Spread in bottom and halfway up sides of a well greased 9" pie pan. Bake at 400 for 35 to 40 min. Cool.

filling:
mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. gradually add milk, cook over medium heat, stir until boils. boil 1 minute. remove from heat. stir half of mixture into beaten egg yolks. Pour back in saucepan, cook again, boiling for 1 more minute. Cool, then blend in vanilla. whip cream, fold in 1 cup whipped cream to filling. pour into crust. top with remaining whipped cream. chill 2 hours. If you want garnish with drizzled melted chocolate chips.
