2 lbs of cooked & minced sirloin steak or any tender boneless beef. (we use ground beef, pork or chicken).
Juice of 1 large or 2 small limes.
1 tbsp minced fresh galanga root, can substitute ginger root
Kaffir lime leaves(optional)
1 tsp salt & sugar (MSG optional).
2 tbsp fish sauce,
3 tbsp roasted rice powder (Asian store)
1 bunch green onions, mint,cilantro & culantro, Thai basil coarsely chopped.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Serve with 2 to 3 leave lettuce leaves per person. Rip lettuce and use to pick up a bite of the mixture.
Accompaniments: 2 limes cut into quarters, Thai peppers, sliced on the diagonal. Thai basil sprigs, sliced cucumbers, bean sprouts.

Very good. They now sell a Larb mix you can add to the beef along with the herbs, it is very good, but contains a lot of MSG. We have MSG allergies at our house, so we need to make ours the traditional way.
