Stew Beef
Flour
Shortening or oil
1 can beef Consommé
2 bay leaves
1 jar whole mushrooms – drained
Egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
Salt & Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Salt & Pepper stew beef to taste and coat with flour. Fry and brown in large frying pan with small amount of oil. After browning both sides, remove from pan. Drain oil from pan leaving small amount of oil and browned flour drippings in pan. Return to burner. Add consommé to drippings, stirring together bring to a boil, add stew beef, while stirring bring back to boil. Cut burner down to med/low. Add bay leaves. Cover & cook about 1 hour or until tender. Stir occasionally. Add mushrooms half way through cooking. If mixture becomes too thick, add water to make right consistency. Cook noodles per package. When ready to serve, add sour cream to stew beef and mix well. Serve over noodles

Can be cooked in Crock Pot or in Dutch Oven. Place in crock pot or large deep oven dish after bringing to boil. Will thicken after cooking.
