5 qt sliced unpeeled medium cucumbers (cukes)
6 med onions,sliced
2 green peppers, sliced
3 cloves garlic
1/3 c salt
5 c sugar
3 c cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp tumeric
1 1/2 tsp celery seed
2 tbsp mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cukes, onions, peppers and whole garlic cloves-add salt and cover with ice cubes. Mix thoroughly and let stand for 3 hours. Drain well. Remove any ice and garlic cloves. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumber mixture. Bring to a boil. Fill sterilized jars to 1/2 inch from the top and adjust lids. You can process in boiling water both for 5 minutes. Start timing when water returns to boiling.
