3/4 C chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
3 T olive oil
2 1-lb cans (4 C) tomatoes
2 (6 oz) cans tomato paste
1 C water
1 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
1 bay leaf
1 recipe Italian meat balls
1 lb hot cooked spaghetti

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion and garlic in hot olive oil till tender, but not brown. Stir in next 8 ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Add
Italian meat balls to sauce and cook for 30 minutes longer. Serve over hot sphaghetti. Pass bowl of grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese.

I usually 4-5x this recipe. I start in AM and let
simmer on stove all day. It makes it nice and thick.
