4 slices dry bread 1 lb ground chuck 2 eggs 1/2 C grated Romano cheese (Parmesan Cheese) 2 T chopped parsley 1 minced clove garlic 1 tsp.crushed orangano 1 tsp salt Dash pepper
Soak bread in water 2-3 minutes. Then squeeze out moisture. Combine soaked bread with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form into small balls (about 20). Brown slowly in 2 T of hot olive oil. Add to sphaghetti sauce. Cook at least 30 minutes in the sauce.
This recipe is from an old Better Homes and Garden 1968 Cook Book. I got this as a shower gift. I usually 4x this recipe to accomodate our growing family.
