1/2 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine and mix all ingredients and chill in refrigerator for a couple of hours. Roll into ball size of walnuts. Place 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour and crisscross. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until set but not hard.
