1 head cabbage, finely shredded
3T. butter
3T. flour
1/4 t. salt
1-1/2 c. milk
grated cheese
bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Bring salted water to boil in a large saucepan. Drop in shredded cabbage and boil for 5 minutes; drain well and set aside. In another saucepan, melt butter over low heat;add flour and salt;blend thoroughly and add milk. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. In a greased casserole dish begin layering cabbage and shredded cheese until all is used. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour the cream sauce over all;sprinkle with bread crumbs; dot with butter and sprinkle a bit more cheese on top. Bake in hot oven until the bread crumbs are brown.
