2 pounds beef flank steak
3 cloves garlic
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 quart hot water
2 red bell peppers, cut into 1/2 inch strips
2 green bell peppers, cut into 1/2 inch strips
2 sweet onions, cut in wedges
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
Cut the flank steak along the grain, into thirds; place into slow cooker with the garlic. Stir the tomato paste into the water until dissolved; pour into slow cooker.
Cover, and cook on Low until the beef is tender, 7 to 8 hours; then remove beef, and set aside. Add the red and green bell peppers, and onion wedges; season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Shred beef into long strands using two forks, place meat on top of the vegetables.
Cook on High until the vegetables are tender, 1 to 2 hours.
