1 C. butter 1/2 C. sugar 1/2 C. brown sugar 1 egg 2-1/4 - 2-1/2 C. sifted flour 1/2 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt 2 t. cinnamon 1/4 t. nutmeg 1/4 t. cloves 1/2 C. finely chopped walnuts
Cream together the butter, sugars and egg. To creamed mixture, add flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and walnuts. Shape mixture into rolls. Chill well. Slice very thing. Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
