2-1/2 C. sifted flour
3 t. baking powder
1-1/2 t. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 C. milk
1 t. vanilla
3/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. melted butter
1 C. coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour loaf pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. In large bowl, mix together egg, vanilla, sugar and butter until well blended. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing after each addition until smooth. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into ban. Bake about 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
