2 sticks of butter
1 cup of sugar
3 1/2 tbsp. of water
1 tsp. of vanilla
4 plain Hershey bars
1 package of chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Butter or spray an 8x8 Pyrex dish. In a pan, melt butter. Add sugar and water (put water on top of sugar). Stir constantly over medium high heat until medium dark brown. Remove from heat when candy is toffee color. Remove from heat, add vanilla and stir well. Stir 1/2 of the almonds into the candy mixture. Pour into greased pan. Set Hershey bars on top (3 across, 1 on the end). Let them sit until they are melted. Spread chocolate and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Allow to cool completely. Break into pieces and serve.

This is a recipe given to me from a co-worker. She made us all some of this yummy toffee for Christmas gifts. Just passing a good thing on!
