"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Pizza Casserole, by Tammy Balser, is from Family Blessings Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 1/2 lbs ground beef 1 chopped onion 1 lb box of elbow macaroni (cooked according to pkg directions) 2 cans of pizza sauce 1/2 brick of velveeta cheese 1 pkg mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350º. Brown ground beef and chopped onions. Drain. In a 13x9 baking pan place all of the cooked ground beef. Next cover the meat with slices of velvetta cheese. Place the cooked elbow macaroni on top of the cheese. Then cover with the desired amount of sauce and carefully mix into the macaroni. Top with shredded cheese. Bake 25 min or until cheese is bubbly. Serve with toasted garlic bread.
Hint: If you do not layer this in the exact order it does not taste the same.
This is a simple way to make a casserole that will satisfy the biggest appetite!
