Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour

Cream Butter, sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour. Spread into bottom and 1 1/2" up the sides of a 9" springform pan.

8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla

Combine softened cream cheese and sugar and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla. Pour onto pastry lined pan.

1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 cups sliced apples
1/3 cup slivered almonds

Combine sugar and cinnamon. Toss apples into sugar mix. Arrange over cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce to 400 for 25 minutes.
