3/4 C. butter
1-1/2 C. sugar
1/-1/2 C. mashed bananas
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in mashed bananas, eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt and mix into the banana mixture. Add buttermilk or sour milk and fold in the nuts (optional). Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for about one hour.
