8 onions sliced thin caramelized
8 c beef stock
2 cloves garlic
bay leaf
tsp dried thyme
c white wine
little salt and pepper

Directions:

Add diced short ribs to broth and onions Cook 20 min.
Loaf French bread cut and butter (thick) on both sides grill until toasted. Lay on top of soup and lay Gruyere or mozzarella Put under broiler and melt cheese
