1 lb. halibut
1 bay leaf
3 slices onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. onion juice
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. canned milk
Grated cheddar cheese
1/2 can celery soup
Buttered bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Boil halibut in salt water with bay leaf and onion slices about 15 minutes until tender; pour off water. Let cool. Break into pieces and put in casserole dish, removing bones. Make a white sauce by mixing the butter, milk, onion juice, flour, water and canned milk. Pour sauce over fish. Add a layer of grated cheese. Pour celery soup over cheese. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
