4 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/4 cup sugar or more to taste
2 teaspoon good quality balsamic vinegar or more to taste
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
toss the strawberries and sugar and allow to stand for 15 minutes. Add the vinegar and pepper. Serve in a pretty bowl chilled or at room templates.
