1 1/2 cup butter
3 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
9 large apples, diced fine (or shredded)
1 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in a large bowl, gradually add the sugar and the 3 eggs;beat until smooth. Add dry ingredients to the cream mixture a little at a time. When all blended, stir in the diced apples and walnuts. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13" pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Test center with toothpick to confirm if done.
