1 stick of unsalted butter
1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 T. cider vinegar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all purpose flour
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350º
1. Lightly grease two baking sheets.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, salt and vinegar. Beat in the egg, then the baking soda and flour. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop the dough by the tablespoonful onto the prepared pans. Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes.
