3 tbsp unflavored gelatin
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup hot water
Grated rind and juice of 1 orange
Grated rind of 1 lemon
Red or green food coloring
Powdered sugar for coating

Directions:
Directions:
Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine sugar and hot water and heat to boiling. Add gelatin and simmer 20 minutes. Add citrus juice, rind, and food coloring. Strain into a loaf pan large enough so that mixture is 1/2 to 1" deep. Add chopped nuts if desired. Chill until firm. When cold, turn out onto cutting board. Cut into cubes or other shapes and roll in powdered sugar. Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator with wax paper between the layers of candy.
