1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
Ĺ cup water
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and boil sugar, starch, syrup, salt, butter, and water to 260į. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into buttered 9Ē square pan. Grease clean hands with butter and pull taffy until it has a satin finish. It is hot at first, so handle carefully. When a light satin color and firming up, cut into 1Ē pieces from ĹĒ wide strips. Cool and wrap in waxed paper. Store in an airtight and dry container.
