2 28 oz cans whole tomatoes in juice
1 small bunch fresh basil
1/2 c evoo
2 small onions finely chopped
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
in blender puree tomatoes with juice and basil until smooth, set aside
heat oil in heavy saucepan, add onions and garlic and saute about 12 mins. stir in puree, oregano and sugar. simmer on medium high about 10 mins. season to taste with salt and pepper.

Picked this one up on Food Network too. It is versatile and freezes well. I froze in portion sizes and thawed when needed.
