4 large tart apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
1 (9Ē) pie shell (unbaked)
4 tbsp flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp lemon juice

Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice. Combine other ingredients for pie and pour over apples; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400ļ for 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Combine topping items and mix well. Sprinkle over pie. Return to oven and back 25 minutes more. If necessary, protect the edges of pie crust with foil strips. Cook on rack. Serve with extra whipped cream, if desired.
