"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Pecan Caramel Candies, by Elise Whalen, is from The Baker Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
Line baking sheets with foil. Place pretzels on foil; top each pretzel w/ a candy. Bake at 250º for 4minutes or until candies are softened. (candies will retain their shape). Immediately place a pecan half on each candy & press down so the candy fills pretzel. Cool slightly. Refrigerate for 10 min. or until set.
Elise loves to make these- she can do most of it herself.
