1 lb. orange slices
2c walnuts
8oz pitted dates
1 (3 1/2 oz) can flake coconut
Add 1/2 cup flour & mix to keep ingredients from sticking together.
Cream together:
1c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs- one at a time
1 tsp soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
Sift together
3 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder

Add buttermilk alternately with flour mixture & candy mixture. Mix well. Bake in 10 inch angel food pan which has been greased & floured. bake at 300 for 1 hour & 45 min.

Mix 1 c. orange juice with 2 c. powdered sugar
Pour over cake while hot. Let cool. Put in refrigerator overnight before cutting.
