1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks) 4 squares unsweetened chocolate 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 cup flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) power sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and chocolate over a double boiler or watch closely on stove top. Remove from heat and stir to cool. Add each egg separately, mixing well after each addition. Add sugar and mix well.
Combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl then mix into chocolate mixture. Lastly mix in vanilla and nuts. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake for 35-30 min. Cool on a rack, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
