5 cups flour
6 tsp. baking powder
tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup shortening
2 cup sugar
6 eggs
3 cup mashed bananas
3 cups chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift first four ingredients together. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat eggs, mix all together. Add bananas and nuts and mix well. Pour into greased bread pans. Bake at 300 degree oven in small loaves. Bake 1 hour: large loaves 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes and then remove from pans.
